I’ve been sneaking changes in to pixel ellipsis. Firstly, in single wallpaper posts I pulled out the “next post/previous post” navigational links and substituted in “related walls.” The relation isn’t always perfect, and sometimes it makes me go “huh?” But I think it makes for more interesting browsing, especially when it links to some of the older wallpapers in the pixel ellipsis trove.

The second change is pretty obvious. I removed the “Tweet This” link on single wallpaper posts since the shortened urls don’t seem to be working any more, and installed the awesome SexyBookmarks WordPress plugin to make sharing THAT much easier (and sexier) on pixel ellipsis. So share away, because it shows that you care :D

I was actually pretty excited when I saw that the Minitokyo Knockout Round 3 theme was Art Nouveau, since I’ve never tried the style before. And with the non-human subject requirement I immediately thought “YEAH MOKONA!!!” Gotta give loves to my internet alter-ego 8) The scan that I ended up using immediately struck a chord, not only because it puts Mokona up front and center, but also because of the heavy Japanese style which feeds directly into the Art Nouveau theme.

EPIC SUMMER WALLING COMPETITION GOODNESS for the AnimePaper community, brought to you by Jay and myself. There’ll most likely be three elimination rounds that run from June to August, in additional to two concurrent (optional) immunity rounds. It’ll be lots of fun, plus there is an awesome prize. So what are you waiting for? SIGN UP NOW @ AP!

I’ve been a fan of Jay‘s works for a while now. So this morning when she asked me if TJN could affiliate with pixel ellipsis, I was like… of course! (HUR HUR :D ) As I gleefully told Jay, I regularly stalk TJN for her awesome walls – so affiliating makes my stalking a lot easier.

By the way, Jay and I have been busy working on a big summer project for the AP community. It’s *almost* ready to go, so do keep your eyes peeled for more news on this! We’re both working madly (and excitedly) for the big reveal, so expect major pimpage from me once it officially kicks off :D

Two new walls in a row from me – must be a miracle!

/ One of the best things about comps is checking out all the great walls that come after. All of the first round entries for the MT Knockout Competition can be found here – well, the thumbs anyways. But I thought I’d just give a little extra pimpage here to some of my favorite entries from this round :D

The Great Elsewhere by Gid (She says this wall will be uploaded to MT after IM is finished, so I haven’t seen it in fullview yet. But it’s GIDDERS. It’s clearly and automatically awesome. And she’s my opponent from HELL for round two *WAIIIIIII*)

Wish me luck for MT K.O. Round 2 because I’m going to need it :|

For some reason whenever I think “Michiko to Hatchin,” I start typing “Hachiko to Mitchin” instead. Damn you Hachikō!!

I’ve been so hungry these last couple of days, and I couldn’t figure out why. I had regular meals, but at random hours of the night/day I’d start gnawing on my boyfriend because of the mysterious hunger pangs. I think it’s because I’ve been vectoring/staring at my new wall, which has takoyaki in it.

Damn you, yummy-looking takoyaki!!

Takoyaki

The overwhelming need to update pixel ellipsis took over rather quickly and has consumed me for the last few weeks. It was sparked by me finding a folder (which I hadn’t created) on the old site that had text files (which I hadn’t uploaded) titled things like “paris-hilton-got-laid-in-cancun.” pixel ellipsis had been hacked before, but somehow this was the last straw. In between my volunteering stints I took advantage of good internet at my boyfriend’s to migrate most of the walls over onto WordPress, and also did a preliminary redesign-hack of Chris Wallace’s awesome Gallery WordPress Theme. Once I had moved all the wallpapers onto WordPress I decided to soft launch the site since, given my intermittent access to internet, getting the site 100% fixed up and complete might’ve taken months :D
