Co-worker linked me this site called Very Funny Ads… it’s fun. I can see this being good for hours of procrastination/brain-numbing purposes.

The first ad that I watched was this penguin one… as cute and chuckle-inducing as I found it, I’m not sure if it really made me want to take a bus. Like, if the real-life equivalent to a killer whale slammed into a bus, I don’t see how traveling in a group will really make you SAFER. Wouldn’t everyone just collectively get hurt or killed?

On the other hand if the killer whale is supposed to call to mind predators or criminals picking off lonely travelers or some similar scenario then this ad would make me want to take the bus more. I guess the bottom line is that context is everything :P

The artist himself looks kind of sketchy, but I love the concept ;}

…how in the world does the dood live in it for five days though? Is there some sort of bathroom in the nest? xD;

I’m definitely really getting into Bleach as the plot thickens and hints of conspiracy abound. Reading Bleach is great for random associations and (minor as of now) complaints in a similar vein as my Urahara rant :P I get the feeling I’ll have more Bleach ramblings as I blitz on, but anyways…

A co-worker tried to get me into Flight of the Conchords a while back but wasn’t tremendously successful… another co-worker found this song by them though yesterday and I watched it with him. It. Is. Fucking. Win. I’ve looped it quite a few times now and can’t stop laughing like a maniac every time I watch it.

(I would also recommend checking out the R Kelly ft Usher – Same Girl video either before or after the FOTC viewing. While this video is a bit of a pain to sit through – I think the song is tremendously stupid – it will make you appreciate the FOTC version all that much more :D )

I wandered onto The Chibi Project site in one of my internet browsing sessions and gotta say it’s pretty awesome xD I get a similar joyous (yet rather morbid) feeling as when I watch that crazy “Will It Blend?” guy on youtube.

This experiment I particularly liked: Shinji Ikari vs Trolley Car

…as you may have guessed I wasn’t a tremendous fan of NGE LOL xP

Utterly random / cute Japanese commercial… :)

I also clicked through some of the related videos for a fun couple minutes of random viewing. Hats off/props to Japanese advert companies that came up with these wacky neat commercials!

I’ve been gunning through Bleach the manga. I can kind of see how this one might be  more enjoyable as anime instead of manga, but my mom’s come to stay with me for a couple of months and it’s kind of weird to be like “Mom, please leave me alone. I need to watch some anime now.” Maybe it shouldn’t be weird but I don’t have that level of otaku-comfort around my parents yet.  They know I’m a raging manga fan though, after finally discovering the entirety of my rather substantial manga collection for which I pinched away years of middle/high-school lunch money. This happened a couple years ago, so they’ve more or less given up nagging me about reading manga.

Anyways… On the awesome character that is Urahara… Read the rest of this entry »

I was feeling dreadfully emo yesterday night after coming back from July 4th in NYC, so I proceeded to browse a few of my usual sites (i.e. ANN) and then managed to discover this hilarious cosplay group with the equally hilarious name of “Coconut Bubble Sex.” Their YouTube collection amused me greatly in my time of need… watching their stuff *almost* made me want to try cosplaying. Just for the tiniest second though :D

This skit has got to be my favorite!

Loved this meme that Gids stole from Jisuk, so on and so forth. Haven’t done anything like this for a long time, but this looked like fun 8)
